This gown is inspired by a piano shawl from the 1930s-1940s. Piano shawls were used in the Victorian era for home decoration, but by the 1930s, the term referred to embroidered silk shawls worn by women. We reproduced the colorful floral embroidery of the original shawl on silk chiffon.
